City Living Versus Suburban Living: Location Of A Residential Property
Buying a home can be a very stressful task as there are a hundred things that needs to be considered before deciding to buy one. Residential properties in the city is the obvious choice for one whose lifestyle is on the go; living in the city grants one an easy access to main public establishments such as big hospitals, schools, universities, museums, libraries and galleries, and commercial establishments such as, hotels, restaurants, malls, and specialty shops and boutiques. Companies and corporations also hold their main office in the city, so the average working person will also find it easier to transport from the home to the office.
However, the convenience of city living also have its own share of disadvantages; for one, the cost of living in the city is far more expensive compared to other areas. Cities are also more congested, that means that there are more people, and by extension also have more environment and noise pollution. Traffic is also an everyday common problem. Suburbs, or sub-urban living on the other hand, is a more relaxed environment; people living in this neighborhood are more laid-back. One will often see children playing in the street or out in the front or back yard because most homes in the suburbs have wider spaces making up for a bigger floor space. Parks and playgrounds are also a common sight in the suburbs.
The streets are also wider and thus have lesser traffic, and because suburbs is not congested like the city, the environment and noise pollution is not as heavy. Although one can also find establishments such as groceries, clinics and schools, the usual problem with suburban living however, is that access to the big and main establishments are limited; one may need to travel longer to get to a museum or a library because most suburbs are an hour to an hour and a half away from the city.
Considering to buy a home in the suburbs therefore require examining the routine of your everyday life; if you are a family person with more than one child, then suburban living would probably be a good idea because unlike the city, the cost of living in the suburbs is less expensive, and the flow of everyday living is less rigid and fast-paced.
